Hi this is the first time i,ve wrote on this site so i hope someone can help. A few years ago i was in considarable fianacal difficulty. i had over steched myself, but could manage to pay my out goins. That was untill i had a blip and this caused the bank to add charges to my account. This resulted in there not being enough in my account to pay s/o d/d ect. There it started to snow ball( and did it) For a while i ignored letters phone calls ect mainly because i didn't know where to start. Since then i have managed to start sorting things out. I have reclaimed some charges with sucsess and i am in the process of looking at other. Anyway my question is. When accounts such as credit cards and loans have been passed onto debt collection agencies and they have appied costs can you claim these back? Has anyone had sucsess in claiming these back? If so how. Cause belive me lots has been applied. thanks, pinknana

DCA's CANNOT add fees unless there is a clear contractual provision to do so.
In the case of most loans and cards this doesn't exist.
Have you paid off the entire debts to the DCA's ?
Normal charges can be reclaimed from the OC's.
as for the DCA's the process is beasically the same, but will most likely end up in court action.

Don't be confused by the low post count on this account, I've been around many years.....0
