Best fake tan moisturiser for pale skin?

Does anyone know of a moisturiser with a tanning agent in it that is suitable for pale skin? I've tried a couple but they come up to dark for my skin & I look daft! lol My skin is so pale you can see my veins all round my wrists, all the way up my arm, on my feet, my neck & on my b**bs!! I don't tan, I have to wear factor 50 just to go to the shops in the summer, otherwise I come back pink! When I was working full time I was getting spraytanned ever couple of weeks, but I can't afford that now.
So if anyone knows of something that is good for pale skin i'd be very grateful!!

I mix the fake tan with ordinary body lotion or moisturiser.0

Boots tan for the face. I got this because I had a £5 off voucher and they didn't have anything else for the money:rotfl:.
I use it in my legs and it gives just enough colour to stop them looking like milk bottles:D0 -
Hello,
I can totally sympathise with you about not tanning at all; I went to Bali for 3 weeks and came back whiter than when I left (because the spray tan I had gotten before I left had worn off by then). :rotfl:
I absolutely LOVE Dove summer sun gradual tan. It's a moisturizer with a hint of self tan in it. They do it in two shades, pale to medium and medium to dark skin. I like the medium to dark eventhough I am very very pale. I prefer it because I only need to apply it once to look like I have a hint of colour and it lasts about a week. Whereas, with the lighter version I have to re-apply and re-apply to notice any difference.
Also, it doesn't smell horrible like some of the other ones (Johnsons especially!) it does have a smell but I quite like it, it doesn't smell like fake tan anyway. I also have some dry patches on my arms and it tans over them perfectly unlike some other ones I've tried that really highlights them and I feel like a bit of a freak with scaley brown patches on show.
Anyway, sorry for rambling on there but I just felt the need to share a self tan that's really worked for me because I've searched for ages with no luck, so I really hope it works well for you too. :j0 -
I second the Dove
I tan really easily, but my legs always stay white& it looks stupid when I've got a skirt on in Summer
but the Dove goes on easily & gives them a nice glow without looking streaky or orange & as Elitist says, it smells quite nice0 -
Hmm, think I'll give the Dove a try then. I'd rather have a moisturiser with tan in it than use a self tan as it never looks right on me! I've tried the Johnsons one before but it showed up a bit orange for my liking. All the ads go on about a 'natural, sun-kissed glow'...... while I just looked like I'd been tangoed!! lol.•

I have tried Dove too but didnt get on as well with it as St Tropez. I know it is much more expensive but I found the results better. I know it goes on brown so you can see where you're putting it but that washes off in the shower leaving a natural tan for me. A bottle lasts absolutely ages and the remover is fab as well, which once applied tan I rub round my feet and into the soles to get rid of any slips which I used to get, and also brilliant for removing it off your hands (can only be used up to 4 hours or until tan product develops)Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0

Johnsons do a light glow version, which I think is good. I've seen it recently in the 99p shop, although Home Bargains is quite cheap if you have one near you. I find the Dove one is ok once I've got some colour already (by using Johnsons!), but it does smell a bit biscuity-which I don't have a problem with personally, but some people might.
Best time to buy the St Tropez stuff is probably in the post christmas Boots sale. I remember seeing lots of sets for 75% off.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
I took this as the first year ever for me to try fake tan- being that I was sent 2 separate freebies for gradual tan.
The johnssons was too dark for my paler then pale skin and looked a bit too orangy- suppose that depends on what your looking for/what your skin tone is (my skin tone is already on the yellow/warm side of pale rather then blue/cool pale). It also smelt odd. Can't put my finger on what it reminded me, but it didn't go away.
The Nivea streaked! It smelt of biscuits- in a nice way (but not so great if you wear very musky perfumes- it will clash!) it went on smoothly though and the tan was more tan coloured then orange coloured, but once it streaked, it didn't stop streaking when I applied a second coat two days later- despite exfoliating daily for a week before hand. It just seemed to make the darker patches even darker! It did come off with using some Veet though.
I guess I'll be following the above advice and trying Dove. I think the facial gradual tan for Dove got top ratings from a magazine recently (cannot remember which) so am hoping the body care is equally as good.
For a more quick and fast tan, I have been told St Tropez is the best for a dark tan/meduim skin and Piz Buin Once or One Day or words to that effect (sorry, don't know exact name!) is great for pale skin, so says my sister and also Elle Magazine.0 -
I am totally with you on the non-tanning pale skin! …
But I can never use the daily tanning moisturisers as I always fine that they are really really streaky.
For me, I use the Fake Bake spray tan which comes in a can.
All you need is a light mist and it doesn’t leave you too dark. Also doesn’t need washing off and provides instant colour.
I find one coat is enough to get me looking nicely bronzed without obvious fake tan.
Hope that helps!

Hi there
Just last week I thought I would try the fake tan thing for the first time. I bought the Garnier spray tan. You can buy it in different shades & I was really impressed with the results. Its really easy to apply & you just simply spray on & carry on as normal. You dont have to rub it in or wait for it to dry, it's great. You simply reapply daily until you get the desired shade & thereafter apply to top up. If you go to Asda they have it on offer at the moment, £7.00 for a bottle. Hope this has helped0
