I've run Kaspersky and found that my computer is infected, but I cant find a button or something to press that remove the viruses...or does it do it automatically?

I suggest you use an antivirus scanner, rather than a malware scanner.

Perhaps use ESET's free online scanner? http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/

Ive tried twice this morning with Kapersky and my laptop shuts down after an hour through the scan on both occasions. Should I give up and do something else instead

Try the link I gave you, and check up on your computer every 10 minutes or so, until it's completed the scan.

What's causing the shutdowns, any ideas? Does the laptop feel hot at all?

See post 4, completely ignoring the copied and pasted generic response in post 3!↲Kaspersky is an antivirus scanner, which alerted you of the infection/s, not a malware scanner - I think alienrik was drunk while posting, lol.

Not at all. Malwarebytes sometimes finds infections that kasperskys misses (And very nasty trojans, just because its CALLED 'malware'bytes doesnt mean it only has malware in its definition files). And I said to run it as they tried Kaspersky online TWICE and failed which looks to me like the computers infected (As an infection WAS originally found and now it wont even scan properly)
