So there is no taskbar at all? If you put your mouse to the bottom of the screen, does it not pop up?

On your keyboard, what happens if you push the windows start key? (The one with the windows logo on)

There is just a blank screen I'm afraid.

    What about safe mode?
  • I had virtually the same fault on my dear friends Fujitsu pc yesterday.

The key is to have either the install disc or the Fujitsu rescue disk.

    1. Boot from the CD.

    2. Press R to load the recovery console

    3. Type bootcfg

    4. This should normally fix the problem, but in my case it didn't!

On step 3. type bootcfg /rebuild. Again this didn't work:

    So I tried this

Follow steps 1 and 2 above, then:

    copy d:\i386/ntldr c:\
    copy d:\i386/ntdetect.com c:\

    (Assumes your cd is d:)

This worked for me and got the pc alive again.

Let me know how you get on.

    Cheers
