Hi all. I have 3 children. Eldest is 16,and a 9 year old and an 11 year old.All 3 live with mother at the moment but she has just got a new job approx. 30 miles away.
I pay £320 per mnth with was agreed through the courts when we divorced. My eldest has said she wants to come and live with me and my new wife.
Would i aplly to the original court for an amendment and how would it work? Would i pay roughly 2 thirds to my ex? Would she be liable to pay maintenance to me for my eldest? Tried searching the net but can't find anything specific.
Any help would be appriciated,
Thanks Colin.

if you look on the CSA website it has a calculator... i think its 15% of net weekly earnings for first child and 5% each for subsequent children...
but not sure how it works if you've decided an amount via the courts (i'm still expecting mine so havent gone through the CSA yet):male:Alfie Sidney born 29th August 2009:male:0 -

Yes, if you put in a claim through the CSA with you as the Parent with care and your ex as the non-resident parent.
If you've already got Child Benefit in your name for the eldest child it should make it quicker.
(All as long at the child (I notice she's 16) is still in full time education):beer:0 -
Ring the csa and ask them or the cab or a solicitor (one who does a free 15 minutes or so)Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

Hi
When my ex husband and I split up we had a court order for him to pay maintenance but my friend who divorced at the same time had hers managed by the CSA as she claimed benefit. My solicitor told me that the CSA cannot override a court order and if there were to be any amendments it would have to be done through them. I would think that exwife would have to pay you maintenance for the child living with you if she is working but it would probably be deucted from what you pay her (less an amount for your daughter who now lives with you). If you go back to your previous solicitor it will help as they have most of the family information.
