DVD Burner but no software

Bought an NEC burner at a good price ;D but it came with no software >:( . So ordered the Nero 6 Suite 1 software which I would have expected to get with it.
However the software will not install (fails in setup.exe) so can't use the drive. ???
Any suggestions as to how I can get the drive working gratefully received.

The drive should work, if installed properly.
What operating system are you using and is the drive already recognised on yr system?
A device like this will happly us a windows driver and burn without specialist software like Nero etc. To do this just copy and paste onto the drive letter assign to the burner (via My Computer).

You could also download Nero 6 demo version and use your registration key / serial number to activate it as the full version.0
