i have a barclay card and i want to pay some off through a debit card over the phone but they will not let me as i havent recived my first statement yet this sounds mad to me, why wont they take my money :mad: *btw its not maxed and i have loads of credit left on it, i just want them all clear, this seems mad to me??? :rolleyes:*

why you need to pay Barclaycard if you don't have to ! Stick the money in a savings account and then wthdraw it when you come to pay your bill.

However that said, if you want to make a payment why not phone them up and ask how you make a payment over the internet and then do it that way. Then they will just have to have your money!!!

you cant set up an internet account without your first statement, typical eh

all you need is the bank details - have a look at http://www.barclaycard.co.uk/Customer_Service/Help/faqs.html#payments for details - and use your card number as a reference.

Alternatively register your card at https://www.barclaycard.com and pay that way.

well it gets worse :rolleyes:

finally got my statement and set up my online account and direct debt, so i go to make a payment on my barclay card online payment account and it will only let me pay £100 :mad: then it declines my debit card.

so i phone the bank, they didnt even try to take payment :rolleyes: so i phone barclay card and pay only £100 :j apparently its a security thing.

so i now have to go to the bank to pay the outstanding balance :mad:

ah well at least some as been payed it isnt due till april 25 anyway
