travel insurance when you have been first diagnosed with asthma 'aged 50 and over'

Options
My travel insurance company have just stuck on an additional premium for my travel insurance because I was diagnosed with asthma when 'aged 50 and over'. They seem to be classifying asthma diagnosed at that age as 'chronic airways disease'. I've had an annual policy for years and this is the first time they've done this.

Has anyone else had a similar problem - and does anyone know of any insurance companies who are NOT charging an additional premium?

I've checked out a few online - and they all seem to asking the 'was your asthma first diagnosed at 'under 50 years' or '50 years and over' question.
