Offsetting Advice Please

Hi

I have a personal account with A&L with a £300 o/d that I intend to place into my DMP, so obviousley I have had to open another basic bank account elsewhere to avoid offsetting.
Anyway I also have a business bank account with Abbey and I am just a bit worried that with Abbey and A&L both being part of Santander that A&L could take money from my business account to pay off my A&L personal account O/D.
What is your opinion ?

I decided to open a HSBC Business Direct Account as it seems to suit my needs, anyway after completing the form online I got the message we need a few more details from you and will be in touch to discuss, has anybody else had this.

They have probably credit scored you and found (presumably) a crap credit file. You may not get this account.

There is also a possibility that offsetting could indeed happen if the business account is in your sole name and is not a partnership or Ltd company account.
