The ebay curse...

I've been buying (and selling) a lot on ebay recently, and i'm getting scared - You see NONE of my children are ill yet, my parents are okay and there have been no hospital visits (other than my antenatals anyway! LOL)
2 items i purchased last week have not arrived. One i paid for on Sat, and one on Sunday. I've been patient and emailed both sellers today. The item i won on Sat seller has replied (with no apology or anything) just saying 'son's been ill not had chance post will post monday' (love to know how, when its a bank hol!) I notice she's had time to list other stuff during the week, so an email would have been nice!
I've just replied asking for a refund, simple as - It's been 7 days now, and i could easily just open a dispute.Am i in the wrong here? Surely if son is really ill someone could pop post office for her? I've got 3 kids (& bump) and don't drive and i STILL always get items posted within 2 days of receiving a payment no matter what! (not always easy getting to the post office pushing a double pram, heavily pregnant and carrying bags of stuff to post - but it comes as part of the ebay deal doesn't it? LOL)
