    I would say dont bother using MSN its pants.

    Yahoo I find to be far more stable. Also you dont get these big blackouts where no one can long onto it.

    I use GAIM which gives me a single interface to a myriad of protocols and a lot of advanced features. Don't use if voice & video are important for you, they're still working on this.
