This may be a stupid question, but I've looked on the Tesco#s website and can't find the answer anywhere so I thought I'd ask here as someone is bound to know.. apoliogies for my ignorance!

When I get my clubcard vouchers, do I have to spend them before a certain time period, or can I save them up and use a number of months worth of vouchers at the same time?

Just wondering as I don't really spend enough a month to get a great deal of vouchers, and I'm wondering if it's worth bothering!

    Thanks :)

They do have an expirey date on them but, and I don't know why, sometimes you get the odd one that will randomly work. Maybe if they're only a day or so past the date :)

My question is, and I realise this has probably been asked a trillion times but I don't understand properly lol

I've got vouchers here for 50p off Charmin, Velvet and Plenty, 30p off Kenco, 40p Hovis, Energizer batteries and Canderel.

Am I right in reading that I can use all these vouchers for money off my shopping at Tesco even if I haven't bought these products?

    Thanks :)

Tesco stores will normally accept vouchers even if the product is not bought. However stores differ in their policy so it is best to either try for a young (pref.male) asst. or phone the store to ask for their policy. Some will only take 1 coupon per transaction, some will put a limit of say 10% of the total or if you are lucky with the asst. they will take all that is given to them.

I actually work at Tesco but until the Saturday before last none of this had ever occured to me before. Me and my Mum are going to try it on Friday, I think we'll check if we sell the items first though just to be sure :)

A woman came in and had two different transactions, both of which she paid for using these small green 50p vouchers for wipes, she ended up paying something like 6p for the first transaction and 4p for the second. The total for each transaction wasn't cheap either but nothing over £50.

I looked at the vouchers and said the, what I now find to be typical response, of "sorry you haven't bought this item" blah blah blah. then she produced the email everyone is quoting and I agreed so I went ahead and scanned them all! Then we had a nice chat while she was rummaging in her handbag for all the vouchers and she told me about this site. Thinking about it, she may even read this

Also forgot to mention it is always best to hand the vouchers over to a person and not to try to put them through self-scan. That way you have been upfront and it is upto Tesco if they accept them or not. If not just smile sweetly and thank them for trying.

The £10 off code on the homepage is not working for me!!! So annoyed! Has it worked for anyone? Is it worth emailing tesco to complain?
  • Well Im here to say a great thanks to tesco who have made my day. I had a load of vouchers but couldnt use on line. I phoned up and said I couldnt get in store to use them and wanted to do it on line and as a "one off" they sent a £4.50 voucher to my email and have allowed me to keep the other vouchers to use by end of July. So thanks tesco!

Online though you can use coupons to save an extra few pennies on certain products.
