we will see, you must be the only landlord that hasnt been greedy and added to his portfolio in the past 5 years, i think by the tone you take with everyone, and the amount of time spent on here, your are already in the !!!!!!.

you might have to go out and get a proper job, instead of spending all your time on here, you are very boring, how does the wife and kids put up with you???

You have no idea what I have or have not bought - yet I know so much about you and your other id confused31

Have you read back your posts - and the ones when you are confused 31 and this name - about 0.000001% of people agree with you.

I make a simple point, prove it, then you go off on a totally different tangent.

Have you found out what the word 'yield' means yet - you had better before you think of renting out your property that you cannot even give away.

My kids are doing fine in private school - thanks for asking.

I did think of getting a proper job in car manufacturing then I discovered you work in that industry and thought better of it.

Your criticising others BTL, but are planning to let out your own place?????

Apart from the fact that I wouldn't want to let my own home - if I did suffer with my lenders fee plus 1% that would give me a tracker at base+1.75%, so very good in the current market.

I think you are missing the point that residential deals at the moment are not as good as BTL deals were a few years ago. My BTL deal is BOE base +0.79% - you wouldn't get that on a owner occupier mortgage now.

silvercar - you may recognise this clown as confused31 - you are also confusing him with someone who has an idea what they are talking about!

i will be renting my own place and buying another home to live in, im saying the deal i have got now is a cracking deal compared to to other 5 year fixed btl mortgages.

Your rate is great now, but if and went rates go back up to round the 5 or 6 percent mark you deal will not look so good.

do you honestly think rates will stay this low forever?

And as for letting my own home out, its a way for us to move up the ladder and keep a investment property, to cash in later on.

as for rates now you can get a btl tracker of 2.5% above the base rate, with massive fees, im not prepared totake one of these deals, and why should i when i can go dow the residential route.

You keep on going on about mortgage companies changing their terms if they do i will have to look at doing it differently, i have not critisised other btl, but the simple fact is if rates go up to 5% i will be in a much better position than most landlords that are on trackers, and i know ive got a secure rate for the next 5 years.

Would you swap you 0.79% tracker for a 5 year fixed at 4.15% now? i know what most people would do, i just hope your saving for when rates go up.
