Wow
Talk about quick response, I sent my initial claims out recorded on Wednesday this week and have payment offers from both these today (Saturday) but the offers fall far short of my claim only offering the difference between the charges levied and £12.
The letters offer me the opportunity to phone or writer to the sender if I am dissatisfied with the offer so should I go in heavy with the threat of court action or should I just quote that the OFT statement did not say that £12 was the correct level etc.etc. and suggest that I will use the FOS or the courts if we are unable to reach an amicable agreement.

Yeah, just follow martin's guide. Use the second letter affirming that you want the full amount and threatening court action.
If they refuse, it is then up to you to go to the FOS or raise a court action.0 -

My personal opinion is to quote the OFT report because it makes it clear that you know that they are trying to reduce the amount they have to pay out.0
