Anyone use play trade, have you found that buyers are little less forthcoming with the feedback than ebay, i sold an item a few months ago and only logged back into my account and seen that the buyer didnt leave feedback,

I use Playtrade and have sold loads of things but only have about 20 or so feedback. Most buyers don't seem to bother. You could try highlighting that section on the packing slip you send with the item to make it stand out a little more

I agree, hardly anyone leaves feedback on Play Trade. I've also found that Amazon Marketplace is going the same way. Last year I sold 50 low value items on Amazon Marketplace and had feedback from all transactions. This year I sold 20 low value items and had 1 person leave feedback!

Yep same for me although I find I have a lot less grief using play then I do ebay so im not really fussed and for the items I sell tbh I think I have more success.

I noticed now though you can print a packing slip and on that it does remind the buyer about leaving feedback and since I have been using those I think it has helped slightly.

Hardly ever get it on Play - I don't think that they send any kind of note / reminder to the buyer to leave it.

The trouble is with both play and amazon is that feedback is irrelevant to the buyer. Not sure about anyone else, but I don't spend a lot of time reading my packing slips.

Buyers have no real reason to log on and give positive feedback, as there is no value to them in doing so. If they have a bad experience then they are likely to report.

I don't think it will make any difference to your level of sales, so probably not worth loosing sleep over.

You could try highlighting it though ;)
  • we use playtrade for most of our game sales.

it is becoming more and more frustrating though how few people leave feedback.

this month, well over 50 sales. 1 feedback.

and then we make a mistake, and people leave a negative at the same time as emailing you. so this month we are on 50% !

we include the packing slip which mentions feedback, and even email after sale as well.

if it wasn't for the fact its free to list, i think we'd transfer everything onto ebay.

what would be helpful is a sales counter, so at least people could see how many sales you've racked up.

problem is, theres no buyer feedback, so they have nothing to gain from leaving some for a seller.
