1st Central insurance?

I have received a few very good quotes from 1st Central via several comparison sites.
Has anyone ever heard of them?
I think they may be based in Gibraltar!

The Insurer is based in Gibralter, however they do come under the Financial Services Authority.
Insurers base themselves in Gibralter as they in Gibralter you do not have to have as much liquid funds as an Insurer based in the UK. More importantly nfor them it is much much quicker to obtain all the authorisations to become an Insurer in Gibralter than it is in the UK.
Their policy looks ok, tI'm not sure what their claims service is like.
The thing to bear in mind is they do not include the Driving Other Cars that do not belong to you on Third Party Only Cover that most other Insurers include. If you ever need to use this extension then it would be best to avoid them0
