                    Hi
I've been turned down for credit card applications/loans etc recently and so I've looked at my credit info held on Equifax and think the problem is that I've had some late payments and 1 default payment in the past. (Though all has been paid now) Is there anything I can do to repair/improve my credit rating?
On Equifax it had a section where you could add a note explaining past bad behaviour. Is this worth doing? What should I include in this to have the best result?
One of the tips on this site was to apply for a really high APR credit card and make monthly purchases and make sure these are paid off early each month. Do you think this would help as well?
Thanks for your help!

Personally i dont see anything wrong with that. As long as you make the monthly payments!!! Keep them short n sweet. Make a purchase every month tho to keep it active and then pay in full.....
Try 6 months or so later for another card with a lower APR...
 Good luck0
