Well as I am doing some 'homework' I am opening today's post and I have a letter from 1st Plus. I first wrote to them 22 April09 asking them to review a 7yr loan taken out Aug2003 which included £4.9k of PPI. Having had no idea back then what PPI was I said yes to everything as it was highly recommended to me by them (of course). I paid the loan off about 18mths after I took it out and being a frequent visitor to this site I thought, what the hec, send a letter and see if the PPI was worth a reclaim!? Well todays letter from them says "they r upholding my claim as they r not satisfied that I was made fully aware of the policy terms" a full refund of £4.9k + interest of £857 less rebate given at settlement of loan at £452" WHAT A RESULT!!! Thanks MSE u r a star. Acceptance letter is winging it way back as we speak. Thanks guys, never give up I am so pleased that this has been resolved so quickly and unexpectedly. :T
