Hello There,
Please can someone give me some adivce, After watching Channel 4 Goks Fashion he gave fitted Boots Store 5* so i thought i would bye some boots from then.
I placed the Order over two weeks ago and still no boots. I emailed then and they replyed saying that the boot were out of stock and offered a different boot. I replyed back straight away saying that was fine. But i have had any respone now for 5 days and No Boots. I just want my money back now.
Tonight i have been searching online and found this site blaggers. com I have now found out that this company does this all the time, some people never get the boots.
I paid by Maestro will my bank be able to get the money back for me?

Boots ordered December, refund requested march ......they don't respond to email phone or mail. A bit of research reveals many other unfulfilled orders and all too familiar, frustrating non response.
I am £95 out of pocket , best avoided0 -
Simply cancel as per your statutory right under the Distance Selling Regs 2000. Put the cancellation in writing, you can risk email but you will have to rely on them bothering to respond to your email as proof of receipt - easier to do it be recorded delivery postal. They then have 30d to process a refund, if they don't, you pursue through the small claims - job done.0

I am currently pursuing them through the Small Claims Court, as they sent me boots (3 months late after much complaining) that were a joke, completely unfit for purpose. It is a hassle though, but can be done online. They have officially been served with papers and have to respond in 14 days.
I would suggest you:
1) send a letter registered post asking for refund new boots etc
2) send a second letter 14 days later saying you are now taking this to small clims court
3) google Small Claims and go through Money Online Claims, you pay £25 and you can sue them online.
Also ring Trading Standards for help, write to Watchdog, and email Channel 4. Enough people need to complain!!0 -
I also ordered boots from the fitted boot store back in April. I still have not received the boots. I have sent several emails but have had no reply. I have also tried calling but after ringing a few times it goes to an automated answer informing me that there is no one in the office. They do update the date on the message everyday but never seen to stay in the office long enough to pick up the phone.
My next step is to send a letter requesting a refund (following such emails) and if needs be the small claims court as I paid by maestro, doh!
I have written to channel 4 regarding their endorsement of the fitted boot store on the Gok's fashion fix show. They informed me that they had received many similar complaints and that they had removed all endorsement. They were also informing all producers about the store.0 -
I am shocked that channel 4 could endorse this company. A google search would have given a researcher all the info they needed to realise that buying anything from this company is a mistake. I have logged what I have done so far on my website:
fittedbootstorecouk (yes I am that sad that I set up a website!!)
I have lots of info including telephone numbers that are actually answered! It is only what I have gathered from sites like this. Don't let up- there is a link on my site to small claims and on blaggers.com some people talk about how they have gone down this route. Good luck everyone! I am owed £50 plus postage (as I returned boots- thankfully registered mail). I have been waiting since 21 April....0 -
I thought I should update you. The complany never replied regarding my order for £90 boots, even though they had taken my money. After many emails, letters and phone calls I finally made a claim through the small claims court in July. I won but they never paid. I had to pay to have a warrant issued to bailiff. This was issued in November. When I called them after a month they said that there were currently 3 warrants outstanding, that the place was a lock up and it was hard to find anyone but that they would keep trying. On Dec 21st I received a call saying they had managed to get a cheque. I received a cheque from the county court on Jan 20th and the cheque cleared into my account a few days ago. I got £216 - £90 for the boots, £1 interest, £25 claim, £100 warrant for the bailiff. I did get my money back!!!!
I hope that all of you still trying to get a refund are successful.
My advice: avoid the fitted boot store!!!0 -
Ordered boots early Dec, money taken straight away, no reply to any enquiries about order status.
Eventually after no joy with emails/ phone calls, I contacted my credit card company (Capital One) who resolved the matter speedily and refunded my card.
Now awaiting a new pair from Duo boots (who have been recommended to me for calf fitting boots 30-50cm!). They don't debit cards until your order has been despatched, mine are apparently en route (all within a week) at a very reasonable sale price of £70 (down from about £140).
If at all possible, use your credit card. It makes refunds so much easier (but I know we don't all have one).0
