Hi,
I was planning to travel from London to Birmingham with Virgin trains on 27th May on the 8.03am to go and watch the test match at Edgbaston. I have been waiting for Virgin to release their group tickets as there is a bunch of us travelling up.
However, they have taken this train off their web site, and when I phoned them they said it was because of planned engineering works!! Is this a common occurence - do they advertise train journeys only to remove them? What do you do if you've already bought a ticket?
Is there, perhaps, some way I can find out what planned engineering works are taking place and get confirmation of this? I mean surely they can't do this when they know thousands of people will be travelling to the city. I've tried the Network Rail web site without success.
Please help me!!!!
Laurie
