Iphone / o2 sim card query?

Evening all ,
I've just upgraded with O2 to the samsung tocco ultra , with 3G sim card , it arrived this morning and i've had a play i'm not really that keen on it. I went through to retentions on order to get a decent deal and i've got a 24 months contract with 400 mins , unlimited texts , unlimited internet and £50 cashback for £24 a month.
Now my query is , if I were to sell this handset and buy a second hand Iphone would it all work ok?

It should do. There might be a new iPhone being released in the next month or so, so you might want to hold off for a bit.0
