hi,

I have a sainsburys credit card due for payment £6100 on 2nd june , i put cheque £6200 in account which will clear on next friday and wonder what is best plan of action.

If i phone up and pay in full by debit card when cheque is cleared ,will this debit card payment clear in time ?

Or any other options ?

If Sainsburys accept payment by debit card over the phone (not all providers do), this is usually the quickest method of payment. The time required for other payment methods will be shown on the back of your monthly statements.

It would be advisable to make the minimum monthly payment required now, if you haven't already done so, to avoid a late payment charge.

u can always try faster payment service.... 2 weeks ago i used my halifax current account to pay my uncle at barclays- £5500. transaction made at 730am.... money received in barclays 1400 hrs
