Recyling/selling roof tiles - URGENT!!

Pls help!, my folks are getting their roof done & have about 800 roof tiles from a standard 1930 terrace to get rid off by Tue next week.
As they are retired & their income is very stretched, was wondering if there is anyway to get rid of them & maybe off-set some of the cost?
Thanks in advance :)
No one said it was gonna be easy!

the easiest and quickest way would be get in contact with a reclamation yard who would probably buy and collect them. You could ask the roofer if they want to buy them.
Or to get most money for them, you could advertise them in Friday-ad etc but it would obviously take longer.

We live in an 1800s house and when the roof needed re-newing we bought original tiles from a reclamation yard.
I think these places should be your first stop.

    I wish you luck .

But , quote 1800s house wants tiles first stop would be the reclamation yard.

But you have 1930;s you want to sell a less rare commodity , a lot less demand , can't think price would be very high AND you expect them to collect.

If only the house was a little older and had slates , you would have something in demand. I hope i'm wrong.
The roofer might want some for repair work , but you have to ask , would you want a 'new' roof. tiled with 1930 's tiles .
Can see most going in a skip!

After a bit of thought

You might find trying to sell them costing you money

The roofer , has probably priced the job , thinking he is going on the roof and throwing the tiles into a skip.
Quick , efficient ....... job done.
NOW , you are going to ask him to carefully remove the tiles ( Please don't break them )
Carry them down a ladder, carefully stack the tiles so they can be moved again
    THIS WILL BE EXPENSIVE !!

Then someone has to drive, pick up the tiles , drive back. unload .
Lets be honest .... how much is a old common roof tile worth.
