Quote from Electrician

Hi,

I've received the following estimate for some electrical work in my home and would appreciate some advice as to wether it is fair or not:

1. Provision of electrical feed to customer supplied 10.5kw shower. Landing wall to be chased out to bury, test and certify installation.

Cable and trunking = £49.06
Labour 1.5 days = £262.50

TOTAL = £311.56

2. Replacement of PIR floodlight

250w PIR Floodlight = £12.93
Labour 1 hour = £25.00

TOTAL = £37.93

3. Provision of electrical feed to hot tub plus garden lights. Does not include trench for cable. Test and certify installation.

Steel wired armoured cabling x 20 meters, isolation switch, outdoor fused spur unit and light switch = £55.81
Labour 1 day = £175.00

TOTAL 230.81

GRAND TOTAL = £580.30

Any advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks

    1.5 days to wire a shower seems a lot but then again i havent seen the job ( and he is only working 7hrs per day).
    but then the stock items seem a little cheap no mention of isolation switch or circuit breaker.
    if you deduct the items bought from the total you get £462.50 for just over 2.5 days work.
    i'd probably charge slightly less but would probably do it in 2 days.
    you don't say where abouts you are so would be dificult to say if too dear.
    from a tradesmans point of view good price
    from a customers point of view maybe
