Financial hardship

I applied to my bank and waited several weeks to hear from them. Part of my claim was that I had arrears on a utility bill and repaying that would make my already financially hard situation even worse. After a chase up the bank got back to me agreeing to refund part of the charges by paying the arrears on the utility bill direct to the company. However, in the meantime, I'd made representation to the utility company that their billing was incorrect and after investigating, they realise that they had, and corrected my bill putting me in credit.
Having accepted the offer from the bank they are sending the money to the utility company, for the amount on the bill. Can I ask the utility company to refund me. My account will be in credit to the utility company by at least £700.00.
Even without the arrears, the bank agrees that I am in fnancial hardship as I do not have enough money to take care of my neccesary living expenses. There is still a more charges to be addressed.
Can anyone tell me how to proceed in this case.

I would assume that the utility company would end up refunding you if you ended up having such a large credit balance.
As for the outstanding balance on your claim with the bank - you can go to the FOS if they haven't sufficicently dealt with your complaint or wait until the outcome of the test case.0
