EYG have just quoted us £1048 for 2 windows - white PVC -both approx 90x120 (one is a fire escape if that makes a difference).

Thank you - I thought so, but most of these salesmen treat you like an idiot if you dare to hint that the quote is a tad expensive!

This is our second quote - the first was from Safestyle and they quoted us £1400 (and that was apparently buy one get one free!)

We've got a local company coming round today who are highly recommended so we'll see where we go with that.

I'm sick of slimy salesmen though - the one yesterday actually told us that we shouldn't use Safestyle because they are run by foreigners! His actual words were a little more derogatory... I think that it's because we're a young couple. Salesmen seem to not only think we're naive but also racist! We shipped him out in a hurry.
