Gangs of “innocent-looking” women with pushchairs and children are descending on Norfolk towns to snatch purses from vulnerable elderly women, police warned last night.

I would suggest that victims are being targetted for their PINs then their bags are snatched.
The safest sort of card for the vulnerable to have is a Chip & Signature Card.

PENSIONERS have been warned to watch out for thieves who distract them by pretending to be foreign tourists wanting directions and swipe their cash cards.
It is believed the couple watch vulnerable shoppers enter their pin number then steal the card.
