HELP HELP HELP!!! I'm looking for cheap wedding venue ideas in Beds/cambs/herts

HELP HELP HELP!!!! I have been engaged for two years now and would have been married a lot sooner (partner had a car accident and was in hospital for about 10 months) and we have decided it is time to celebrate and get married. Sadly we do not have much money but I would be grateful if anyone could give me cheap wedding venue ideas in Bedfordshire/Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire or around that area.

I need disabled access as my partner is now in a wheelchair and we have not been having much luck with venues who claim to be wheelchair friendly and end up having steps all over the place!!!

I really would appreciate any help or ideas anyone can give me! After a tought year its finally nice to plan for a happy event!!!!

Thanks xx

Hi and Congratulations:j Must've been a nightmare for you, glad to hear you can finally start planning must mean oh is on the mend:D:D

Best thing to do for a venue is either decide where you want it, what kind of wedding you want(church/castle/hotel/stately home etc) or when you want it and then go from there. Google will be your best friend:rotfl:
Also have a look at the wedding & anniversaries board(don't worry, it's more wedding than anniversary;)), will be more helpful there and also other brides will be able to tell you about good deals/sale etc that are coming up.
Wishing you both all the best and again Congratulations:beer:

  • What about local village halls/church halls. Out of all the weddings I have attended the best by far were the ones done on a budget. All the guests brought food and a bottle each. Some one did the disco, another person interested in photography did the photos. Glass jars were saved for weeks to put candle tea lights in. Woodland flowers/ivy/pine cones were used to decorate. It brought everyone together and a good time was had by all

we had ours in our back garden, cant get cheaper than free lol... we put up some gazebos and begged and borrowed chairs from all and sundry and did the buffet and drinks ourselves .. all in all the receptions cost £200 and we paid a friend of a friend to lay it out for us when we were at the church
photos were taken by everyone, they gave us their copies on CD and we picked out those we liked the most and printed them at asda including some sepia and enlargements

is that a possibility?? do u or a friend have a nice garden u could use?... no ours isnt massive or particularly marvellous but it looked really nice and we really enjoyed it
    HTH and good luck
