Hi,i have just won a large item on ebay (a 5' long scythe) & the seller says it is too large to send by Royal Mail post.
Would i be able to arrange a courier to go & pick this up (in the uk - nuneaton)?
Any recommendations for a good/cheap courier service?
Many thanks

It's a common question that you have raised, and these are the regular issues encountered!
Does the seller agree that you can arrange your own courier?
Who will pack it and prepare it for transport, and who will pay for that preparation?
Will the courier arrange to collect at a time that is convenient for the seller?
Will the courier provide proof of delivery in the event that the item goes missing, and who will take responsibility if it does go missing?<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

Hi Steve & Chippy,
thanks for the helpful replies.
I live in London & am looking for a cheap & reliable/recommended courier company for the collection & transportation.
I have already been in contact with the seller & he seems reasonable enough,so making arrangements should not be too much fo a problem, hopefully.
Any recommendations would be very helpful.
Cheers & atb,

Due to the size it is likely to be classed as non-standard or "ugly" freight. Interparcel Titan may be the only mainstream option http://www.interparcel.com/delivery/Interparcel-Titan.php, but there may be more local pallet delivery or independent couriers in your local area/yellow pages that may be able to help.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0
