IIRC you are supposed to be supplied with an address in the UK to contact your landlord directly. Ask for this.
I agree write a letter, stating that you are agreed to take on a part-furnished four bedroom property. Presently you are renting a three bedroom fully-furnished property. State that you are not willing or able to insure the possessions nor guarantee their safe return as they are so in your way.
I wouldn't sell the possessions as you are putting yourself in the wrong. I'd wait for an answer, and if you don't get one I'd borrow a car and take everything personal down to the agency. Find out what the going rate is for storage in your area, and deduct that amount from your rent each month until he moves it.poppy100
