Just been to local Sainsbury's. They are giving away standard reusable shopping bag today for free. Just in case someone is interested.

Thanks.
Did go in Sainsbury's after my Penny Bazaar jaunt in M&S and noticed that the bags have the 140 year celebration motiff on them as opposed to M&S 125 years and it made me chuckle.Life's what you make it....
"I've got one, two, three, [STRIKE]four[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]five[/STRIKE]... senses working overtime..", XTC.
Life beyond voluntary work scares me, but what else is there?0 -
Yep I think they are giving them away all weekend to celebrate their 140th birthday, although I'm sure it is 1 per customer.I'm riding the London to Brighton for the British Heart Foundation on the 20th of June 2010 - Sponsor me here:- http://original.justgiving.com/mattdean20

Saw a press advertisement today which said there would be a free Bag for Life and a slice of birthday cake for customers in store this weekend.0

I got a free piece of birthday cake on my way into the Bath store today (about 5.15), and all the normal carrier bags were replaced with the special bags for life at the checkouts - so no limit on how many per customer. Unfortunately by the time I left the store, the man in the entrance with the cake had long gone (even the table/display had disappeared!)0

No sign of the cake by 4.15 in my local. Not sure if they gave more than one Bag for Life (I only needed one) but the regular orange ones were readily available.0 -
it was one per customer in my local one0

One per customer in my store and no sign of any cake - that was at 12ish.0

They can keep them:mad: . I got one with my 4 bags of shopping yesterday and guess what? Their bag for life split and the shopping went everywhere but the cheap ones were ok.0

I work in Sainsbury's, and got told to give one free bag to every customer per purchase - but when people asked for more than one I usually give it to them, tee hee.
We all have the "normal" orange bags behind the counter to sell you for 9p if you need more!
No cake at my store, unfortunately!Don't have sex, you will get pregnant and die!0
