Buyer wants me to take legal action

    No, due not sue, it's a waste of time and money. Simply file for FVF, get the buyer a NBP strike, leave negative feedback, relist (for free) and forget it.

    You could go through a small claims court and probably win, but after that getting money out of them depends almost entirely on that person's willingness to pay. And since they're not paying now, why would a piece of paper from the court change that?

    To answer your first part , Yes !! ;) Some people do it for fun seemingly. Probably the same people that kick your wing mirror off or bend your wipers. :confused:

    It's called malicious bidding, people do it for fun, or to cause mayhem.
