Hi,
Internet explorer pages come up with a gold bar that says ie is running with add ons disabled. The help bar gives intructions to enable them but the appropriate menu option is greyed out. I have managed to get to manage add ons by going through the options menu on internet explorer which shows the list of add ons ie has used but it says they are enabled.
I am guessing that perhaps they are enabled at that end but blocked by some kind of security setting. I am a little out of my depth and don't know what else to check or do! Any ideas?

If you are running I.E 7:
Tools-->Internet Options-->Programs Tab-->Manage Addons.
You should be able to see in there what is disabled/enabled/etc.
Is this stopping you from visiting a particular website or stopping a download or anything specific? In the list you should be able to change the drop down menu to All Addons or something similar. If you look in the box of results there is a column shown for "Enabled/Disabled".
Click on the ones that are disabled and enable them at the bottom left if you are sure you want to do that!0 -
