Hi there
Wondering if anyone has experience of this??? I have been with first direct for 1 year, I have savings a/c and current a/c with them. They sent a letter through about a month ago saying they were reassessing o/draft facilities.
They have come back to me to say that they will continue with my £250 "on demand" o/draft facility but I will have to pay a £25 arrangement fee. HTB and I are on a very tight budget and need every £25 we can get - has anyone else recieved similar correspondence from First Direct and if so have you been able to get out of the £25 arrangement fee???!
I would love to cancel my o/draft altogether but I know that I often dip into it by a few pounds and so will just end up being charged more for it!!
I am a mature student at present, so maybe I should move to a student overdraft account, but I don't want a massive overdraft, it only means more temptation hence more debt in the long term!!
