Thanks. In the end I went for silver on the basis they are hammered effect so scratches should'nt show too much and they are much thicker than normal rings (about 1.7mm I think) so shouldn't wear thin too quick.

Years ago I had a very thin, white gold wishbone band with a tiny diamond in the middle of the 'V' and it cost about £145 from Hot Diamonds- who get stocked in various high street jewellers such as Ernest Jones (this was where mine was from!). As I said, it was about 3 or 4 years ago now but if you google Hot Diamonds then their UK website should pop up.
Hope this helps! Good Luck! x

i think you will be fine with the silver

I have a few silver rings that I have had for over 10 years and they are all perfect (no special treatment.....just a clean every now and then)

Just for info for everyone, you can get white gold without the rhodium plating.......its just not really white lol its a yellowy colour (the colour your white gold goes when it needs replating)
Its nice but not easy to get stuff to match it :)

if you consider how long you'll be wearing the rings for this will probably work out as the cheapest item of jewelery you've ever bought! go for what you really want, you have to love it for a very long time!

Try Argos. We are having white gold bands and only spending £108 on both rings, mine a really thin one and his the same but thicker. If OH would let me I would just get silver but he wants to spend something on the rings and says I am being too just too much of a cheapskate thinking about silver rings.
What about this one for you,its white gold,4mm and has one tiny diamond set into the band.Under £70 too.

Hi there I got both of ours for £100 from Ebay. Try Elma jewellery or icejewellery. Mine is 18ct white gold with a tiny diamond and is 1.9mm, £57. Oh's ring is 5mm 9ct white gold and was £42. I love both of them and the quality is really good aswell, Tiger x
