SANDISK USB STick

Options
Can anyone help me.

Two of my mates brought a 12Gb Sandisk USb stick which came with some Sandisk admin utility.

One of the them deleted the sandisk folder without even opening it; and his stick is fine.

The other one opened the folder to see what it was, and then deleted it. His stick is only showing 3Gb now. Have tried to format it, and they have used various 'recovery' programes; not sure which ones.

Has anyone seen this before or got any ideas?

Cheers

Sarge

Is it formatted into to volumes / partitions, or perhaps one 3Gb visible, and one 9Gb hidden which requires the sandisk utility to access?

The tools will be available to download from here: http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/index.asp

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker
On the disc out of the packet they are partitioned into a storage space and a utilities (u3) space.

You can either keep the U3 utils, or use the option and repartition it to a single partition for storage :)
