Car insurance accident claim problem.

I need some guidance on how to help my 18 year old daughter please.
Last November she was driving quite correctly when some idiot drove out of a side road into the side of her car. There was only one witness who as luck would have it was a serving police officer who said my daughter was 100% blameless. She had her car repaired but had to pay the £600 excess. Now, more than 6 months later she is still £600 out of pocket and the offending drivers insurance company is still denying receiving the witness statement from my daughters company despite this being sent numerous times. She phones them every couple of days buy is getting nowhere and really needs that £600 back. What can I do please? Thanks.

Its not unusual for Insurers to not receive / lose letters.
I would suggest you ring the other Insurers, ask for whoever is dealing with you claim. When you get put through ask their name at the start of the call and use their name in the call where ever possible. Be polite and explain the problems its causing. Then ask the person who to send the letter / fax in so they will personally receive it. Follow this either fax / letter (Sent recorded and marked private and confidential by calling a few days later to check they have received it. This normally works in getting it sorted out.
Some Insurers like emails and this may enable you to email it straight to the person0 -
I'd go with what dacouch said, only certainly get it sent by fax rather than post, or e-mail directly. That way they will get it instantly and can have no excuses."MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE? IF WORD GETS OUT THATI'M MISSING FIVE HUNDRED GIRLS WILL KILL THEMSELVES."0
