Hi,
booked my holiday to Jordan on 2nd May. as it's a mid morning departure it means sitting on the M25 in rush hour to get there and then parking.
does anyone know of any really cheap hotels where i could stay the night before and where I can leave my car for a week please?

I have just been through this exercise.
Go through Quidco to hotels.com, enter "Gatwick" and your details, and have a look at what comes up. You get a list showing average price but you should click "select" to exactly what they are offering to show the parking options.
The best I could find for what I was after (family room in August, 2 weeks parking) was the Worth at £98 (-£10 back from Quidco).
Best of luck, anyway, and enjoy your trip.0 -
hi,
meanwhile i found this link on another thread http://www.gatwick-guesthouses.co.uk/
i've booked with the Cumberland House at £45 for a single room (double with en-suite is 60) for that I'll get cooked breakfast and transfers to and from the airport. i'm also leaving the car there for 8 days at £3 per day. when you consider that a local cab firm wanted £80 one way to take me there - i'm quids in I reckon!Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Travellodge (Gatwick) is just £26.00 for the 1st May.
We used it before our recent holiday.0 -
Forgot to add that we parked the car with APH. Cost just £38.74 for the week and the car was cleaned into the bargain!
The site is a few miles outside of the airport but the transfer was really efficient and took about 10 mins.0 -
I've just booked with the travelodge for my trip at easter (£26) and I got a really good deal parking at the airport with www.holidayextras.com £60 for 17 days - on site at NCP flightpath. This means you take your car keys with you rather than leaving them with some unknown person!
After spending hours looking at all the websites this worked out much better for me than the others. If you book a hotel/parking deal watchout for extra charges to take you to the airport (some Hotels want as much as £6 per person), and the transfer every 45 minutes. Also if you go over the 8/15 day parking (and they include your night in the hotel) they charge anything between £6 - £10 per day.0
