Elonex freeview retuning

Hi all
I've been trying to return the in-laws Elonex freeview box due to the change in channels recently.
I can get all the channels, but the order is screwy, e.g. BBC1 is on channel 814.
I can't see an option to change the channel number, but I can reorder the channels (which helps but isn't perfect as they're OAPs.)
I can't even see a master reset button so I can start again!
I've tried both the "Full Scan - replace channels" and "Full Scan - add new channels" options to no avail.
They can't find the user manual so I'm sort of stuck.
Anyone any ideas?
As usual, all help gratefully received.

Is there not a sticker with the model number on the box as you could google the model number and make for a manual to download0

It's ok, that is normal with older freeview boxes, I had the same thing happen to me when I did a scan - I've stuck a label on the back of the remote control with the new numbers for the channels, I can remember most of them easily now. Some channels have 2 channel numbers but you will find only one channel number will work properly .. the other will only get a picture that keeps breaking up. There is no way to re-tune the box to it's original numbers.Hi all

DCFC79 - can't see one. Tried looking for box under google images to see if that helps, but it doesn't appear to be there.
Rock Bottom - the only snag is, the people who own it are OAPs.
I'm going to try deleting all the channels and then start again.
I'll let you know how I get on.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

When BBC 1 shows up on 814, it is usually because it is getting the signal from a secondary transmitter.
This can also happen if the Freeview Receiver is a non UK model, and so strictly speaking not Freeview.0 -
OK - got the box in front of me.
According to the sticker on the bottom, we have:-
Elonex DVB-T recevier
Model No - LNX-UG-DS700-FV
Serial No - 375AGG14974
Can't find anything on Google to do with this.
Another oddity is that the other box in the house, connected to the same signal booster gets all the proper channels in the right places.
I've even tried using the same cable and TV as the other box, but to no avail.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

It could be that it is incompatible with the latest updates.
My old Nokia Mediamaster is now a door stop.
I've heard various tales of 3 or 4 yo boxes packing up in the preliminary updates, before the official switchover begins.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Sounds very much to me that it is a non Freeview Receiver, in which case it was designed for a non-UK market, hence the listings being as they are.OK - got the box in front of me.

If you can find any of the bumph for it, check to see if it has the Freeview Digital tick mark on it.0 -
They've put the paperwork away "in a safe place"
Could be anywhere!!!
Argos are doing one for less than £15 so I think I'll see what they say to that.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

OK - solved.
Bought an Astratec on from Tesco (the Argos ones were all out of stock!).
Set it up, tuned it in, good to go!:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
