Negotiating on a boat currently in florida, getting it shipped to valencia.
Anybody on here ever imported a boat or had one shipped to another country? Need to ask a couple of questions.

    How much is it?

We ate at a harbour in Washington DC a had a few bars and eateries in one speot very nice, and loads of posers would harbour up and share drinks on the back of their boats just like that one.

You know the dial in a fridge, is 6 colder than 1?

Im thinking 6 is more so it works harder so its colder, or does 6 mean 6 deg C and 1 mean 1 deg C?

Ive no idea and Im not happy at how not cold my beer is

Let me tell you my hero that i am getting the boat, getting it shipped, all taxes and fees paid for £15k. It is a bargain as the boat is mint with low hours. 6 is colder, doesn't relate to deg c.

Do you know how much those cost to run in fuel?

What about mooring fees? Article from January of this year reports some worrying moves being taken by Valencian authorities.
Valencian Government 'sinks' yet more Expat lives
    January 7, 2009 at 08:15 am

In a move which has provoked outrage amongst the British Expatriate yachting and boating community, the Government of Valencia has hit out at foreign boat owners who are moored in its Costa Blanca marinas and harbours.

With no warning, the Autonomous Government, already criticised as being amongst Spain’s least transparent, has started to enforce a twenty year old law which had lain forgotten on the statute books.

Without warning, an ‘import’ tax has been imposed on boat owners by the Government and failure to pay this substantial sum has resulted in seizure of privately owned vessels.

Up to 12% of the vessel’s value is demanded in payment and this obscure tax appears unique to Valencia and is not to be found anywhere else in Spain or indeed, the European Union.
