I was half a day late putting money in to cover payment and was charged £35. Is there any way she can get this back??

Well you can call them or go into a branch and ask in the first instance.

If you don't get anywhere with this, then read the links at the top of the site to see where to go next.

Thank you, yes i will give them a call and see how i get on, as i dont want to go to small claims court as it was only for £35, yes i may get it all back but what if i dont, i am so angry with this bank, never ever go overdrawn just this once and i got billed £35 for being overdrawn for a day at the most.
I will call them, if they say no, do i just print out the letter template and try it that way?

Well the problem is that all claims are currently on hold apart from in cases of financial hardship.

Two years ago - a simple letter and you'd have got your £35 back.

If it's your first charge, then they probably will give it back to you. Just be calm and polite as they are more likely to be awkward if you get their back up (annoying I know as the charge is ridiculous).

If you fail, then write to them anyway asking for it back, but they will probably write back saying that the charge reclaiming is on hold until the outcome of the test case - and you'll be in limbo for a while with everyone else.

So getting them to refund is your best bet. Try phoning and if that doesn't work, perhaps try in person at your branch.
