Dear all,
After numerous amount of calls ive managed to get my Capital One Classic Card.
I set my online account up etc that was fine etc.
Now as part of the deal you get the free identity check which i duly applied for.
Rang up Capital one, and to my amazment £1 was taken from my account.
It saying its pending on the account, i rang up the lady
Now from what i know if i vividly remember i signed up for the 30 day trial a couple of weeks back, however my account wasnt activated because i didnt have the correct proofs so i had no account setup.
However i dont know whether i still have the original account open.
But either way i got charged, and capital one wont do anything about it
Its a con in a sense when it says WE WONT CHARGE YOUR CARD.
Any advise would be highly appreciated. Is there any way to reverse this transaction.
Not a great start to having my first credit card.
Also i got one free report could it be because of that i got the charge.
Also how long do pending transactions take to complete on credit cards usually the lady said to me on the phone it doesnt reflect my balance and i wont see the charge on my next statement.

It maybe a charge that just verifys your address, £1 is the normal amount and should drop off in a few days0
