Hello,
Ive recently bought an LG5700 tv and the sound isnt very good when playing the radio. My dad mentioned I could connect it to my hi-fi but i'm unaware as to how! The only thing to stick a cable in to my hi-fi is a white hole and red hole (so i bought a cable with white and red ends - technical I know!!) and tried connecting this to my TV but no sound comes out the speakers....does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Ive tried all the audio options using my remote and flicking through menus.
Your help would be appreciated! Thanks

Well you're halfway there with the red and white plugs. Now we need to find out what these plugs are labelled on the TV and the HiFi. On the TV it needs to be an output, and an input (may be labelled Aux or Auxillary) on the hifi. If it's a red and white on the side of the TV, with a yellow beside, this is usually an input to the TV.0

I think the TV's red & white phono plugs are probably inputs (is there a yellow one there too?).
The manual may well show examples of connecting up various pieces of kit.
You may find that the TV has a SCART (a rectangular plug with lots of pins and one corner triangle-shaped) output socket (it might be labelled Video), in which case it is possible to get a SCART to phono cable.0
