Relax on the train? You are joking? I find it stressful being on public transport. Also, once I fell asleep and woke up to find my shopping had been stolen in front of a packed train and no-one did anything! Grrr.

How about one week at your brothers and the next week stay at home?

2 week stay at brothers £83.20 (without food)

2 weeks commuting from home £158

    1 week at each £120.60

it really depends on you, i would value my own bed and surroundings. If you stay at your own home you will have the weekend free as oposed to more travelling on sat & sun.

good luck with the work in london :D

I would just stay at home if I were you Skintchick - otherwise you probably wont feel as you can relax fully whilst at your brothers? Plus if you are worried about your cat, perhaps its best?

Sometimes money isnt everything & your health/wellbeing is.

Although if you were in London we could meet up for that drink :0)

Oh definately stay at home...Why would your brother want you to stay with him soooo much unless he has sights on doing stuff with you (which will mean spending money unless he is absolutely fab brother!). If he lived within walking distance to your temp work, then yes it would make sense, but to move somewhere for a week that you still need to travel to work, just does not make sense...Esp as by the sounds of the cost he is outside of the zone you will be working in.

He is an absolutely fab (and well-off) brother and would pay for me - but he works even longer hours than me so I don't think he'll want to do much!

He lives in Mill Hill and I will be working in Chelsea. I live in Oxfordshire.

Well done on getting the extra work Chick :D
I too would go for the stay at home way but as someone else said with the option of stopping at bro's if you are late off or maybe a short stopover which might perk you up? Mind you I have a brother and if I stayed with him longer than a few hours we'd end up in a fight even at our age LOL..

I couldn;t stay at his without prior planning cos of clothes etc., and it would cost me more on travel as the travelcard from my house doesn;t cover me to travel to his I don;t think (different train lines)

Ah right I've never had to do the train travel to work thing so wasn't sure how it works with zones and stuff.Would you have to pay someone to look after the cat too? Seems more sensible to travel in then from home if its just a short term contract hopefully it won't make you too knackered!
