Im Not Sure What To Do - Please Help !

Hi I was wondering if I could have some help please
I recently sold a used digital camera on Ebay. The buyer then contacted me saying that he thought the camera was in worse condition than I said ( I did say it had scratches on it )and that the voice/ microphone recorder does not work. So I replied saying sorry and that I would give him a full refund.
I later spoke to my partner who said that he thought the camera was working fine and that the sound only comes up when you play it back on the computer and not in playback mode on the camera… so I told the seller this.
Then he has just replied saying that “the record function should work along side a photo so you can verbally record the photo description” and that “I will be happy to return to you if you credit my account and cover postage or you could knock some money off I would be happy with £10 up to you”
So basically I was trying to find out if my camera had this function as I didn’t realise it did but can’t find out about it anywhere and don’t know much about camera’s so was wondering if any one knew? My camera is a Fujifilm finepix Z1.
And do I have to pay him extra money just to post it? Isn’t a full refund ok? It cost me £3.25 to post so not sure what this £10 is all about?
Ahhh, I'm quite new to selling on Ebay, so was just after some help please. Thanks

is he not asking you for £10 off the original purchase price to then keep the camera or alternatively a refund plus postage - not sure what the rules are regarding refunding postage someone else will no doubt be along to answer thatThe mind is like a parachute. It doesn’t work unless it’s open.:o

oh yeah i see what he meant with the £10. must have read it too quickly !0

If he's asking for £10 back from what he payed for it then i would do that, it will be cheaper than refunding and paying for postage each way.0

Unless you are happy to take a £10 hit on the purchase price I would tell him to return it for a refund, then re-sell it. You don't have to cover his return postage, but he will probably go mental if you don't agree to. See if he will then agree to a mutual withdrawl so you can get your fees back. The manuals and drivers etc can be found here, if you want to have a look and forward to him what features the camera should and should not have.

Hey Again, Umm so i emailed the buyer saying that i preferred that he returned the item and would give him a full refund and postage as like NeilJung said i didnt want to take a £10 hit on the item and im quite confident i would sell it again as i had a few bidders..
i then received an email saying that he had changed his mind and he actually quite liked the camera and he would keep it if i just refunded the postage (£8).
So now i think it sounds like he is just trying to get some money out of me, surely if he is going to keep it he should pay what he bid on it, also im not entirely sure if i believe him that the camera wasnt working properly , as i only had his word to take for it.. am i being to skeptical ? should i just refund him the postage ???
thanks xx0 -

Just tell him, politely, that the only options are A) Keep it at the price paid.Return it at his own expense for a refund.

If you do give him any refund make sure it is via the refund link in paypal otherwise he could still open a SNAD dispute for the whole amount.0
