Car Insurance Advice Please

I would be grateful for any advice or help.

I am the registered owner of a car with 11 years no claims with my husband as additional driver for the last 6 years.
We have now bought a second car which is registered in my name and have transfered the old car to my husbands name.

As I only have 2 months of my insurance left, I will change the car details, will my insurance still run out in 2 months? It wont start from now for 12 months?

Also will my husband get 6 years no claims and how will he get this? Or does it go to zero as he's not owned the car?

Am just trying to work out the best and cheapest way to do things.

Any help or advice will be great.

Yes it will run out in 2 months.

No your husband will get no NCD automaticaly unless purhaps you are with Direct Line or similar company that offers NCD for named drivers. Talk to a few local brokers as most should be able to negotiate an introductory NCD. Try using price comparison websites to find some of the cheapest quotes for him without any NCD and then call the 3 or 4 best ones to see if they can offer introductory NCD.
