Warning welcome car finance
Comments

Updating events...spent whole day phoning and have recorded all conversations.
They reckon they have pulled out all the stops to find the car..yep the one they said wasnt lost.
Out of curiosity of course.....
Someones been trying to pass the car around the dealers as has had 9 experian checks on it.
Its now in the hands of the CID who appear more interested in the company than the car..might please a few people out there.
will keep you posted.0 -
When i phoned about the fault and they said WCF has ceased trading.
i thought oh no now what.
.
i have a car on finance through welcome car finance, and i only spoke to them last week, and they havent ceased trading unfortunately, i would if you havent by now CANCEL the direct debit, they will soon get in touch with you if they want to when they realise you arent going to be tricked that easily
and lets face it, they can only threaten you with reposession of the car you are already without and if cant get the car back from you because they have already have it.
I havent read all the posts, i would definately make a official complaint through the FSA, ring them, they are BRILLIANT.
If all else fails, get itemised bills from your fone supplier and get into touch with a NATIONAL newspaper, bad publicity always makes them sweat.
Lets face it, what have you got to lose, just please, please, please cancel the direct debit and if all else fails, you havent been paying for a car you havent got.
Also inform the dvla if you havent already as if you are still the registered keeper, any speeding fines etc that the car gets you will be liable for.
Best of luck, keep us posted

thanks for your advice..the thing is a young lady who clearly said...
and is recorded saying welcome finance has ceased trading... then she says sorry welcome car finance has ceased trading.
Cannot give out her name for legal reasons.
The thing is i really needed that car not had one in ten years as had the use of a company van.
previous cars from private sellers always had mechanical problems which is why i opted for a dealer... i sure have some bad luck.
I will contact the fsa as you suggested its really worrying as why should i pay for something i havent got?
Im just scared that they will still demand the money and then try to gain entry to my house to take goods to the value of the car, even though they have it.
At least i have a crime number now so i can report the loss to the insurers.
although they say they have ceased trading in the car finance field i would still supsect they have sister companies and can just shift business over.. so i advise everyone buying a car on hp to check the small print.0
