Have you ever heard anything as stupid as this?!
Our bank have issued our new cards (due to be replaced next month) to ensure we have them for the 1st of the month - fair enough. However, apparently the system picks up that new cards have been issued and therefore automatically expires our current cards. Only problem is - we havent received our new cards yet, and our 'current' cards have been expired meaning we cant use them!!!!
If I need to get cash/use card I have to, to quote the 'lovely' customer service rep, "Get myself to the nearest branch with ID and get enough money out to see me through till the cards arrive"
Unbelievable!!!

I dont think this will be standard. Possibly a system error has resulted in cards being cancelled incorrectly? If I need to get cash/use card I have to, to quote the 'lovely' customer service rep, "Get myself to the nearest branch with ID and get enough money out to see me through till the cards arrive"
Under the circumstances seems the most appropriate solution, albeit maybe not convenient0 -
Sounds like the cards are taking longer to arrive than they normally would.0

What you describe isn't standard procedure with A&L - I've been with them for quite a few years and have had several replacements of expiring cards, and have never had this problem at all. I wonder if there's some other issue (apart from the cards expiring) that's the reason?0
