    I think that LSAP is only for first time buyers or those who have been out of the housing market for more that 2 years, I don't think you can get it to buy a bigger house.

    if you go for 8500, you pay lots of tax to the chancellor. Stick to below 5K (4999.99 :-) ) and you get it more or less free.

    Wife and I are using it for stamp duty when we buy our first home.
