Is it possible to get a bank account for 3 people?

Hi all,

Might sound a bit daft but is it possible to get a bank account that 3 people can share? Getting a new flat soon and want to set up an easy repositary account we can just put a regular payment into each and bills and rent all come out of that (so noone's out of pocket).

If so who does 'em?

don't do it

if you have a joint account you will be financially linked to these people so if they have poor credit score either now or in the future then you will suffer too.

also you will all be jointly and severally responsible for the balance in the account so if someone withdraws a lot then you'll have to pay.
easier to open a joint account than close it.

just divide the bills between you all so each is responsible (in their sole name) for at least one bill then have a reckoning after each bill comes in... and don't say you don't trust them to do that because if you don't trust them there you certainly shouldn't get a joint a/c
